Kramer & Sons Plumbing Awarded Angie’s List Super Service Award

Alexandria, VA – Kramer & Sons Plumbing has been awarded the prestigious 2010 Angie’s List Super Service Award, an honor bestowed annually on approximately 5 percent of all the companies rated on the nation’s leading provider of consumer reviews on local service companies. This is the fourth consecutive year Kramer & Sons Plumbing has received this award. Angie’s List Super Service Award winners have met strict eligibility requirements including earning a minimum number of reports, an exemplary rating from their customers and abiding by Angie’s List operational guidelines.

Each year, Angie’s List honors companies that have achieved and maintained a superior service rating from Angie’s List members with the Super Service Award. This is the highest honor given annually to companies by Angie's List, who have achieved and maintained a superior service rating on Angie's List throughout the past year. Kramer & Sons Plumbing was the only plumbing company in the area to receive the award.

On the weekend of October 15th and 16th, Angie Hicks honored her top 100 Super Service Award companies by hosting a weekend in Las Vegas to see the Las Vegas Indy Car World Championships. Nick Bizzocco a Kramer & Sons Master Plumber attended the event, Nick has been with Kramer & Sons since 2002.

Recently, Kramer & Sons Plumbing received a service request from Joan Drury who had detailed requirements on the installation of a new energy efficient water heater. Mrs. Drury wanted a high efficiency water heater that would be able to use her boiler to heat water during the winter and not have to use electricity except during the summer.

This was a complicated task and the Kramer team met the challenge. A new 66- gallon high efficiency water heater was installed and retrofitted to use the tankless coil in the existing boiler to heat the water during the winter months when the boiler was in use. During the summer, when the boiler was not being used, the electric water heater takes over to provide plenty of hot water. An energy efficient way to heat water and save money, but there’s more savings in the future for Joan. She is currently working on getting her home LEED Certified and when she adds solar panels this will allow the electric water heater to use electricity generated by the solar panels to heat water during the summer and use the boiler in the winter.
